Your Questions, Answered

We know you have questions. Maybe you're not sure this is for you, or you can't afford it, or you just don't know where to start. Either way, you're in the right place. Still have questions? Just ask.

Financial coaching is a good fit if you're working on building better money habits, getting out of debt, or just need help getting organized and feeling more confident day to day. It's more educational and action-oriented, and it's priced to be accessible even if your budget is tight.

Financial planning goes deeper. It covers your full financial picture: retirement, investments, insurance, taxes, estate planning, employee benefits, and more. It's an ongoing relationship where we help you make real decisions across every area of your financial life.

Not sure which one fits where you are right now? That's exactly what the free intro call is for. Tell us where you are and we'll point you in the right direction.

This is probably the question we hear most often, and the honest answer is yes, probably more so than for people who already have significant assets. The financial decisions you make now have a compounding effect over decades. Getting them right early matters more than getting them right later.

We structured our fees specifically to be accessible, because we built this firm for people who've been told financial planning isn't for them. The One Page Plan in particular was designed for people who want real guidance without a long-term commitment. No minimums. No pressure.

A few things worth knowing before you choose any financial planner:

Fee-only means we don't earn commissions on anything we recommend. We get paid directly by you, which means our only incentive is advice that actually helps.

Fiduciary means we are legally required to act in your best interest, not just recommend something "suitable." Fee-only and fiduciary together are the two most important things to look for.

CFP® certification is the most rigorous credential in the field, requiring education, a comprehensive exam, experience, and ongoing ethics standards. Both Bonnie and Cale are CFP® professionals with additional certifications in counseling, fiduciary standards, and retirement planning.

Apps are great for tracking spending and automating savings. They are not great at helping you think through a job change, figure out how much life insurance you need, or decide whether to pay off debt or invest first. A financial planner helps you make decisions, not just monitor numbers.

If your finances are straightforward and you are happy with how things are going, an app might be all you need. If you are making real decisions about your future and want someone to think it through with you, that is where we come in.

Our pricing is based on the complexity of your household and financial situation, not on how much money you have. We don't have minimums, and investment management is always optional.

Financial coaching is a set fee: $250 for onboarding, then $125/month.

Financial planning is a monthly fee we determine after your free intro call, once we understand your situation. It ranges from $40-$300 per month depending on complexity.

Investment management is 0.60-1.00% of assets, with a discount when combined with an ongoing planning relationship.

We will always tell you exactly what to expect before you commit to anything. No surprises.

Mostly, we help you simplify and organize your financial life so it stops feeling like something hanging over you. That looks different for everyone.

For some clients it's getting a clear picture of where their money is going and making sure it lines up with what actually matters to them. For others it's building confidence that they're on track and have a solid plan in place. For others it's simply handing off the financial work to someone they trust so they can stop worrying about it.

We handle the research, the analysis, and the recommendations. You make the final calls.

It's a free, 30-minute conversation. Not a sales pitch.

We'll ask you some questions about where you are financially, what's on your mind, and what you're hoping to get out of working with a planner. You'll have plenty of time to ask us anything. By the end, we'll both have a clear sense of whether we're a good fit and which service makes the most sense for you.

No prep needed. Just show up.

To a point, yes, and we'll tell you about where that point is.

We can incorporate socially responsible and ESG (environmental, social, governance) funds into your investment portfolio, and we'll talk through what matters to you before making any recommendations. Most of our clients aren't in a position to build a fully customized impact portfolio, and we'd rather be honest about that than oversell it.

What we can promise is that we'll never recommend something that conflicts with your values without telling you, and we'll always explain why we're recommending what we are.

It's a fair question, and we'd rather you ask it than wonder.

We built this firm in part because too many people have never worked with a financial planner, assuming they wouldn't be welcome or treated with respect. Women have long been dismissed or ignored by advisors who didn't take them seriously. BIPOC communities have faced exclusion and exploitation in financial services for generations. We're not interested in any of that.

We ask and respect pronouns. We understand that LGBTQ+ and non-traditional family structures come with financial considerations that most planners aren't equipped to handle. We are. We've worked with neurodiverse and disabled clients and understand that financial planning looks different depending on how someone moves through the world.

We don't just say it. The way we price our services, the clients we seek out, and the work we do in our community all reflect the same belief: that money is a tool for building a more equitable world, and everyone deserves access to it.

When we say good financial advice is for everyone, we mean everyone.
